[dropcap]L[/dropcap]aura Lambuley
Piano Teacher

Pianist born in Colombia and graduated from the Faculty of Arts University (Academy of Arts in Bogota ASAB) and based in the United States since 2010.

Since 2008 has been working on their music: a bet that mixes traditional joropo, genre that belongs to the Colombian and Venezuelan tradition, with the Venezuelan merengue music with and some academic and jazz resources.

Laura strikes an audacious camera music work, very difficult to classify. Her piano approach can evoke from the refinement of Liszt to strength of the Joropo as well as jazzy improvisation and harmonies.

A repertoire that combines arrangements and transcriptions of folk music and her own works is which characterizes the work of Laura Lambuley.

Fast and polyrhythmic tunes full of effects and virtuosity that identifies the music from Colombian and Venezuelan “Llanos” (plains landscapes), will be alternated with original songs from new trends and jazzy flavor.
