
Marcela Martinez
Argentinian pianist Marcela Martínez has performed in major concert halls across Europe and South America, collaborating with leading orchestras and earning top international awards, including the Special Prize for Best Romantic Interpretation at the Albert Roussel International Piano Competition in Bulgaria. Trained at prestigious institutions in Tel Aviv, Madrid, and Paris, she has championed contemporary composers, recorded for the German label Aurophon, and served as pianist for the Miami Lyric Opera from 2007 to 2024, while also working extensively as a coach and piano teacher.
Education
Argentinian pianist graduated from the School of Music, Dance and Theater of Paraná, Argentina disciple of Graciela Reca and Aldo Antognazzi. She continued at the Academy of Music ” Samuel Rubin” of the University of Tel Aviv with Alexander Volkov and Pnina Salzman, in the “Real Conservatorio de Música de Madrid” with Joaquín Soriano and in the “Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, Alfred Cortot” under the guidance of Germaine Mounier, where she obtained her Diplome Superieur d ?Execution and Diplome Superieur de Concertiste.
She participated in numerous international courses among which are: Holland Music Sessions, Somerakademie de Mozarteum of Salzburg, and the Summer Courses of Santander, working with Lazar Berman, György Sandor, Karl-Heinz Kämmerling, Jan Wijn, and Jean Marisse Huizzing.
Experience
She has won numerous awards, including Special prize for the interpretation of the best Romantic work in the International Piano Competition “Albert Roussel” in Sofia, Bulgaria, first prize, Competition for Young Soloists organized by the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, First National Prize for Excellence in her artistic quality awarded by the Argentine Institute of Excellence, among others.
Marcela Martínez has performed in major musical centers in Europe and as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Buenos Aires and with other important national orchestras.
Among its priorities and commitments is to spread the works of new contemporary composers. She has participated in the CD recording of the integral work of Muzio Clementi, for the German label Aurophon.
Martinez has been invited to perform the revision and fingering in the scores of arrangements for piano the Argentinian music and on the piano compositions of the Argentine arranger and composer Silvia Teijeira edited by the University of Entre Rios, Argentina.
From 2007 to 2024, she was the pianist of the Miami Lyric Opera in Florida. 2023 to 2024 She worked as a coach and pianist for the Opera department at New World School of the Arts from Miami Dade College.?At the same time Martinez developed and extensive work as a Piano Teacher.
