Janelle Howington

Bio

Janelle Howington
Art Teacher

Janelle Howington is an artist originally from Raleigh, North Carolina who now calls South Florida home. Janelle holds an MFA from the prestigious School of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston (Tufts University) and a BFA in Painting and Drawing from Brigham Young University. Her large scale portraits, drawings and monotype prints use video technology to reinterpret traditional portraiture. Janelle’s work has been exhibited in galleries across the United States.

Janelle’s teaching experience includes all ages education in art and design fundamentals as well as extensive experience teaching advanced figure drawing and painting and portrait painting. She has led guest artist workshops in printmaking and was a regional emerging artist in residence at Art Space in Raleigh, NC.

Janelle maintains a private studio where she works on commission.
