Elisa Rego is a Brazilian-born singer, composer and radio personality.

Musical Career

Elisa began her career during the late 1980’s performing in several venues around Caracas with her band ES-3. By 1988, she signed her first record contract with the Sonografica Label under which she released her eponymous debut album. From this release, several notable singles hit the Venezuelan charts including “Selva”, “Blanco y Negro” & “Libre de Ti” which consolidated Elisa as a celebrated performer in Venezuela and abroad.

In 1989, Elisa received critical acclaim and was presented with a Ronda Award as Best New Artist by the Asociación Empresarial Venezolana, or Venezuelan Business Association. A year later, Elisa toured Venezuela extensively and consolidated her international career with presentations in Puerto Rico, Bolivia, Panama and Colombia. In 1991, Elisa signs with EMI Venezuela to produce her second album, “Vale La Pena” which was recieved with acclaim.

A few years later, in 1995, Elisa embarked on a new musical journey to record “De Amor y Deseo”, her third album. Notably, the single “Abismo de Corazon” takes the number one spot on the Venezuelan charts for fifteen straight weeks. Other hits from this LP include “Como a Mi”, a duet with Pedro Castillo “Quiero Estar Contigo” and “Derritio Mi Soledad”.

In 2005, Elisa returned triumphantly to the stage with a new album “Temperamental”. Her single “Amandote” is a hit in the Contemporary Adult segment nationwide. A few years later, in 2010, Elisa released her fifth album, “Rockola” which received extensive airplay nationwide.

Publicist Career

Another facet of Elisa is her career as a Publicist. For decades she has been a spokesperson for several important brands, including:

  • Maltin Polar
  • Gatorade
  • 7 Up

Radio Personality

In the year 2000, Elisa hosted a radio program through the web portal Terra.com, located in the Multimedia Zone of the site. This program was broadcast to more than 32 countries and boasted advanced technology such as cameras, improved sound and an open chat room. For the span of a year, from 2003 to 2004, she hosted the local radio show “En Frecuencia” in the premium 3:30 to 5:30 slot for Radio del Ateneo de Caracas (100.7 FM), located in Caracas.

Currently, Elisa is the host of the variety radio show “En El Sitio” transmitted at 3 p.m., Monday to Friday, on 100.7 F.M.
