Kalos Music & Art School is honored to present Master Pianist, Michael Orta, in a special Close-up Series Concert. On December 10th at 7:30 p.m. experience a magical performance by one of the most important references in the Jazz and Latin Jazz scene of South Florida.
During his career, Michael Orta has performed and recorded with the great musicians such as Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D’Rivera, Randy Brecker, Michael Brecker, Conrad Herwig, Dave Weckl, Eddie Daniels, James Moody, Sonny, Eddie Henderson, Ira Sullivan, Gary Campbell, Toots Thielmans, Ignacio Berroa, Rene Toledo, Jr., Nestor Torres, Ed Calle and David Valentine.
For many years, Orta has been sharing his musical knowledge around the world through his renowned Clinics and Masterclasses. He is also an Associate Professor and the Director of Jazz Performance at Florida International University.
